Common questions

How does TuneGauge work?
Upload a track. The AI analyzes the audio and delivers a structured critique report — covering song structure, lyrics, melody, arrangement, and a TuneGauge™ Rating from 0 to 10. Results are ready in under 60 seconds.
Is a real person reviewing my song?
No. TuneGauge is AI-powered. You get honest, structured feedback without human bias or scheduling delays.
What file formats do you accept?
All tiers accept MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, FLAC, and OGG — up to 50MB.
How long does it take?
Results are delivered in under 60 seconds after upload. The AI listens to your full track and generates a written critique immediately.
What's included in the Free Rating?
Free Rating includes Song Structure, Lyrics Analysis, Hook Analysis, TuneGauge™ Rating, and 3 Action Items. Limited to 2 per email address. Works for work tapes, demos, and finished tracks.
What's the difference between Full Song Report and Pro Release Report?
Full Song Report ($19) covers lyrics, melody, structure, arrangement, genre fit, pitch potential, and includes 5 Action Items plus Custom Question Answer — best for songwriters. Pro Release Report ($39) includes everything in the Full Song Report plus Mix Analysis, Genre Positioning, Pitch / Release-Readiness Score, and an Improvement Roadmap — best for artists and producers with finished recordings.
Is my music safe? Do you store my audio or lyrics?
No. Your audio files and lyrics are discarded immediately after analysis. We never store or share your music or lyrics — analyzed once, then deleted. We keep only the written critique.
Do I retain rights to my music?
Yes, completely. Submitting a track to TuneGauge™ does not transfer, license, or affect your ownership in any way. All rights are 100% retained by their respective owners.
Does TuneGauge™ use my songs to train AI models?
No. Audio files processed through TuneGauge™ are not used to train AI models. Our third-party API integration has data sharing disabled by default.
What is the TuneGauge™ Rating?
A 0–10 score summarizing your song's overall quality based on the AI's analysis. Each critique comes with a unique verification URL you can share — the score is permanent and publicly verifiable.
Can I submit a work tape or rough demo?
Yes — work tapes, rough demos, phone recordings, and finished masters are all welcome. Your song is judged in context: a rough demo is not scored like a finished release. Full Song Report and Pro Release Report tiers let you choose "Demo / Work-in-Progress" or "Final Release" mode. In demo mode, TuneGauge focuses on songwriting fundamentals — melody, lyrics, structure, hooks. Final release mode evaluates production, mix, and pitch / release readiness at full standards.
How do I access my results later?
Print your report or save your unique results link. Each critique has a permanent verification page — your results don't expire. To be safe, print your report immediately after receiving it, as it includes your unique report link.
What's the custom question feature?
Full Report and Pro tiers let you ask one specific question (up to 150 characters) about your song when you upload. The AI answers it in a dedicated section of your report — useful for targeted feedback like "does the bridge feel earned?" or "is this ready for radio?"
